BISHOP'S PLATE ("VLADIKINA PLOČA") GORGE
Vladikina ploèa gorge is 2.5 km away from the village Rsovci. It is a very attractive gorge, but at the almose a very inaccessible. It stretches all the way to the village Pakleštica. The deepest and the longest part of this gorge is called Vladikine ploèe, the gorge is more than 200 meters deep in that part, and its cliffs are very steep. The gorge abounds in flora and fauna. Every visitor feels the beauty and awe towards this area at its entrance. It can be reached only on foot.
THE RIVER JERMA GORGE
The gorge of this river is also known as Vlaška gorge. It is very characteristic with its huge pots and beautiful landscape and it will not leave anyone who goes to Zvonaèka banja spa indifferent even at its very entrance where the surrounding cliffs are 200 meters high.
THE RIVER GRADAŠNICA GORGE
A very attractive gorge of this river is more than one kilometer long and the canyon notches are very steep and inaccessible. The main characteristic of this gorge is that it is 4 km away from the city, a near the village Gradašnica which can be reached by car, and then a person has to go on foot to it. There is Dag-banjica in the gorge. It is a hot water spring, which is according to the stories of many Pirot's inhabitants very healing, it heals wounds. The canyon and hot water are exploited very little for now.
THE RIVER VISOČICA CANYON
This is one of the most impressive canyons in this part of Serbia. The river Visoèica flows through it and it is one of the rivers in Serbia with the greatest fall. The canyon is very attractive and picturesque, so it is very difficult to describe it in a few words. It should be visited and experienced. The canyon is characterized by steep, and high cliffs in some parts. This canyon is for every unexpected guest a relaxation both for the soul and for the eye.
THE ROSOMAČKA RIVER GORGE
This gorge was made by the river Rosomaèka which belongs to the Visoèica river basin. The gorge is reached on foot, and at the mere entrance into the gorge you will see a very attractive rarity, it is very steep and inaccessible in one of its parts. Small pots-whirlpools characterize this gorge and it's beauty. If you want to pass through one part of the canyon, you can make it just through the river bed.
TEMAČKA GORGE
Temaèka gorge is certainly the most attractive gorge in this part of Pirot municipality. It is also called by the local residents "Little Colorado", which is quite true. The river Temska flows through Temaèka gorge and makes notches and steep cliffs which are at some places over 200 meters high. The entrance into the gorge is reached in 30 minutes via asphalt road.
