ZAVOJSKO LAKE
In summer, the most suitable part of the lake for swimming is the part near the former village Mala Lukanja. What is interesting about the lake is that it is 17 km long. Its width is 300 meters and depth around 70 meters. It is characterized by transparent and clear water, so when it is hot in summer the water can refresh very well.
THE RIVER NIŠAVA AND THE QUAY
One of the oldest and most visited bathing beaches in summer is certainly the river Nišava which divides the city into two parts: Tijabara and Pazar. There is a beautiful row of lime trees on its banks, known as the quay, which is more than 3 km long.
CITY SWIMMING POOL
It is 1.5 km away from the city centre, on the right bank of the river Nišava. It was built at the same time as hydroelectric power station Zavoj, and it is supplied with water from Zavojsko lake. The depth of the pool is 2.5 meters, and its surface is 5 hectares. The upper part of the pool is suitable for children. As part of the pool, there are a slide, the showers, sand fields for football, volleyball, tennis, as well as a few fast food restaurants. There are also a doctor on duty, lifeguards and other services whose task is to care for pool and guests. There is also a swimming school. This is certainly the most visited place in summer.
THE SWIMMING POOL IN MOTEL "LOVAC"
This is the swimming pool which is 3 km away from the city. That's the semi-Olympic swimming pool whose dimensions are 25 x 50 m. There are easy chairs, parasols, showers and other necessary things.
THE SWIMMING POOL IN THE VILLAGE
MALI JOVANOVAC
This swimming pool is 10 km away from the city. Despite its distance, it is visited a lot in summer. It works day and night during the hot summer days.
Since there are a lot of rivers in this area, there are a lot of places where people can cool off, and at the same time people can go swimming in all these rivers.
