Tourist organization of Pirot Municipality was founded on 9th September 2004 and as such it deals with:

- making the program for the development of tourism and making planned acts for touristic places in the municipality area

- the advancement of general stay conditions in Pirot municipality, as well as, the advancement of economy, with the aim of making an attractive touristic surroundings

- direction and coordination of touristic offers possibilition, as well as, the stimulus of building and developing touristic infrastructure, sport-recreation centers etc

- the organization of touristic-information propaganda activity in the municipality area, with the aim of presenting and promoting touristic values

- preserving and protecting touristic values, that is, natural and anthropological motives from Pirot's surroundin

The Tourist organization, as such, deals with the organization of picnics, visiting cultural-historic monuments, facilities, excavation sites, visiting the city with the local tourist guides; it also deals with scheduling and announcing the visits. It organizes cultural, sport manifestations, fairs, especially ones with ethno characteristics of this area, and then it organizes congresses, scientific meetings, seminars. It airs at raising the touristic culture of the inhabitants of this area, and prepares a recogni-zable regional brand of this area, various promotions. It also deals with the possibility of placing the product of this area with ethno character-istics. It provides information and other not mentioned services.
